Happy Thanksgiving, Part 2

I did this last year, so I figured why not make a tradition of this. My involvement with LADS has increased since last Thanksgiving, and I am very grateful to be a part of this community.

FIRST AND FOREMOST, TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR CURRENTLY LEAD THE PREMIER LEAGUE. I know it won’t last, but I’m thankful to have this group of players and manager to support right now. I am NOT thankful that I’m watching this team on Thanksgiving Thursday playing in the Europa League, but I’m confident this team will be playing in the Champions League again next season.

I am thankful for this wonderful community that has come from this podcast. A year ago, I didn’t even know what Discord was. Once I got bullied into joining (thanks, y’all), it provided me a network of football fans all over the country. I am a rather social person, and I’m excited at the idea of visiting the friends I’ve made in the Discord whenever those opportunities may come. I’m especially thankful for the other Tottenham fans in the group ;)

A huge thanks to Kev for all the effort he’s put into making this community a reality. He’s way too humble to give himself credit for the work and dedication that’s been needed to make this happen. No matter the size or success of LADS, a beautiful culture has been established, and it’s pretty admirable that it started with two people. The podcast and network doesn’t grow without that work ethic. I’m super excited to continue to brainstorm ideas to further grow the podcast.

Finally, I am thankful for this wonderful sport that has given me so many memories and friendships. I know some people think my fandom is obnoxious, but I look at it as an opportunity to form new friendships and speak a language that can be understood all across the globe. I’ve already formed lifelong friendships because of football, and I only expect that to continue in the future.

Happy Thanksgiving y’all, and looking forward to creating more memories together.
