Sterling playing the good guy, deserves an Oscar

Sterling you little shit…Joe did not have a bad week! How could he have had a bad week? He beat your team’s ass and got to stay with the team after you decided to be billy badass and confront him at England’s camp. Don’t try to paint yourself into the light and stand up for him when you’re the whole reason this shit is going on...

I’ve been seeing a lot of people talking about whether Southgate handled this properly with a lot of former players reminiscing on altercations of their own. I’m somewhere in the middle of this whole thing. For starters I don’t think it was aggressive enough to STILL be talking about it, I also don’t think a player should be removed from the squad for an altercation that didn’t end in a hospital visit. However, I believe this was a move by Southgate to show everyone that no one is above anything. With some new faces and a lot of young talent (14 players with less than 10 caps) in the squad, I think that also means a lot of egos and people trying to get Southgate’s attention. I think this was more of a message to everyone else seeing that one of the hottest players on the planet in their prime isn’t above being removed from the team for a game.

England clearly didn’t need the little snake slithering all over the pitch since they absolutely destroyed Montenegro 7-0 with the HarryKane scoring a hat trick. I do wonder though how the game would’ve ended had Sterling been on the pitch. As much as I hate him I have to admit he’s been on fire this season and he probably would’ve added a couple to his name!
